The Many Uses of Shipping Tape

Tape is one of the most useful things that you can keep around your house

. It's great for taping up posters, envelopes, and about a million other things. In fact, many people use duct tape as a last resort and nine out of ten households will have at least one type of tape at all times, if not two. Tape is easy to use and convienant and, best of all, it really doesn't cost all that much despite the number of times most people tend to use it.

For children, tape is one of the bset things ever, regardless of the type. In fact, shipping tape can be just as interesting and engaging to children as conventinal tape would be so even if you have to buy a roll of it to ship out a few Christmas packages then it will still get used up before the next long distance birthday comes around, if you allow a child to do so. Indeed, shipping tape is just as great for art projects as it is for boxing up packages to be sent around the globe. After all, an art project probably gets just as much abuse as a box that is beign shipped would a regular basis. In addition to this, it can be used in place of duct tape, as shipping tape and duct tape are not actually the same thing, to hold things together, though it definitely won't work as well.

If any type of tape is going to beinterchangeable, it would probably be shipping tape and packing tape, though shipping tape is harder to tear, generally clear, and usually more heavy-duty than packing tape is, making shipping tape okay to use both for moving and for shipping and packing tape only good to use if you don't have any other options available to you when it comes to shipping things on short notice, or just because you accidentally forgot to pick up the right kind of tape.

Unlike packing tape, shipping tape does not generally allow you to write on it though it definitely does provide a better support for a box or package than packing tape would as the latter is designed only to be used in a controlled area, like a car or a moving van, whereas shipping tape is designed to be used anywhere.
