Can you hear the screams, the cries of the people trapped in someone's marketing nightmare of a website? You've been trapped in some of those websites yourself, have you not? I believe I've heard you, trying to claw your way out of a website that just won't let you leave, begging you to stay, while draining your will, your common sense away like some energy vampire.
I congratulate you on getting away but, you didn't leave there empty handed, no, your hand-eye coordination and mouse clicking speed have greatly improved! At times, it takes a lot of effort to escape those types of websites and yes, I too have been trapped.
The Highwaymen
I didn't want to be the one to tell you this but, the information super highway has highwaymen', and yes, it's true. They lay in wait on the shortcut search engine path people take to their dreams of internet riches; those searching are led astray with promises of virtual maps to the goose that laid the golden eggs. Some people are so devastated by these marketing highwaymen that they have given up their dreams forever.
You see, if there were an actual shortcut search word' or words' you could type into a search engine and it really gives you the information on becoming wealthy in a short amount of time, the whole world would know about it and there would be no highwaymen for the most part, for they too would be rich.
I am not saying that a shortcut path to wealth doesn't exist somewhere but, what I am saying is that if the offer they dance before you seems too good to be true and the website tries to stop you from leaving their promise land', chances are you've landed in a marketing nightmare because real websites do not need to apprehend their visitors.
The Lure
The marketing lure that the highwaymen use is greed', because almost everyone has greed of one form or another. Now greed is greed but, greed unchecked is different, it is like a kid in a candy store, for the thought's of the kid are focused on how much candy can he get his hands on and how fast can he get it, and for those few moments, the outside world does not exist.
Those few moments are what the highwaymen are waiting for, the key ingredient for their plans to work. The highwaymen know what emotion is driving their visitors to their websites, they know the psychology of the buy' and their website speaks' to the greed of their visitors and dazzles them with illusions of golden rainbows.
The Escape
The key to a better escape plan other than struggling with mouse clicking is located at the search' itself. The better your search or research is, the better your understanding, your foundation knowledge will be. You can then use this better understanding of your subject to submit more focused words to the search engines.
This foundation knowledge come from attending classes, reading books, asking yourself questions, pondering over the material and then choosing your course of action, for highwaymen can have no attack over a mind that is well defended.
