There are many complex names and meanings to the patterns. This article will concentrate on defining the meanings of the colour in Kente and also give examples of occasions in which these colors will be worn.Black on kente cloth often symbolizes maturity. It is common for a teen to be given a cloth with black designing or to have patterns of a black colour. This is to make known how much they have matured in life and is an indication of them entering into a new phase.
