I am pretty sure that most of you can agree with me that the traditional methods of network marketing can be very embarrassing. Not only is it embarrassing but it can also be very difficult to yield successful results due to the fact that network marketers tend to prospect the wrong people.

What most network marketers fail to realize is that not everyone they come across will be interested in their network marketing opportunity. Some people do not even like the idea of owning their own business, because believe it or not there are people who actually prefer that employee quadrant.

So here is the question; why spend wasted time putting yourself in awkward situations by trying to talk people you don't even know into your business. More than likely these are people has no sort of interest in what you are offering.


The trick to prospecting is to target the people who have similar interest and goals as you do. For example, you wouldn't go to random people off the streets if you were to start and NBA franchise but you would instead seek after people with vested interest, like college athletes, D-Leaguers, players from other franchises etc.

Your only focus should be in converting network marketing prospects into your business. To do so you have to offer them something different, a level of success they would have not received in their current opportunity.

In order to find these types of prospects you must do some advertising. Now listen carefully because this is where a lot of online network marketers make mistakes. When advertising you are advertising yourself and not your product or your business. By doing so you are showing your prospects how different you are from their current business.

There are many different ways of advertising on the internet. There are adwords, writing of articles, email marketing, banner ad, press release and so on. It's just a matter of finding one that works for you.

Once you use these methods or even a few, then you will be able to drive that constant flow of network marketing traffic to yourself day after day.

So by putting things into perspective you basically need to target prospects who are already network marketers and by doing so your chances of success will be way greater than the old traditional methods that have been taught years and years ago.
