Inside was a young Swiss couple who quickly agreed to hurry the two French travelers to Kabul. After a few moments of waiting, another bus came which was able to accommodate us, including I and the remaining passengers. The Frenchwoman's companion went for a visit in my hotel just to show her gratitude.
After she and the Swiss couple called the embassy in Kabul, it was in the hospital where the French Embassy guided her friend to undergo an immediate appendectomy. It sure was a close encounter which chastened the friend, but she turned out to be okay after that.
