, Goldvish. Named Le Million, it is a perfectly ordinary phone which happens to be encrusted with 120 carats worth of diamonds in an 18k gold white gold casing. Le Million has at best a peculiar design, and the case needs to be taken apart in order to charge it. The phone does come with Bluetooth, and it is capable of playing back MP3s. An FM radio and a digital camera are, of course, included in the price of $1.2 million. Keep in mind, this is on sale! The original price was $100,000 higher.

One might think that the worlds most expensive cell phone would have a full-color touch screen with advanced internet capabilities and a battery that lasts forever. One might also think that the worlds most expensive cell phone would have 8 gigabytes of storage (like my iPhone), but no.

The Guinness Book of World Records has rated the Goldvish Le Million as the worlds most expensive cell phone, outranking the hideously designed Nokia Vertu Cobra, which sports a gold case surrounded by a ruby and diamond cobra. This is priced at a mere $310,000. Only eight of these have ever been produced, so youd better pick one up quick.

You can save yourself a cool $10,000 by buying the significantly less ostentatious Jason Goh-designed Black Diamond. This stunningly simple phone was originally made for Sony Ericcsons luxury phone division and is priced at only $300,000. The Black Diamond is even harder to find than the Cobra, with only five of them in existence, worldwide.

If you really want to go slumming, you can always check out the top of Motorolas line of cell phones. A horrendous 18K gold, diamond encrusted fiasco created by Austrian designer Peter Aloisson comes in at a mere $57,000. It is, essentially, your average Motorola flip phone completely blinged out so blinged out in fact that the diamonds appear to be fake.

Having decided against the $1.2 million Le Million, I may decide to spend that money in a more wise fashion by buying 3,000 iPhones - one for each of my friends, their friends, my co-workers, family, and even my cat.
