There are different kinds of awards: serious, honorable, or just pleasant. But there are also comic or even scoffing awards; they are called anti-awards and have a short but rich and interesting history. These awards are given to the worst and the worse, dumb and dumber people, to Mr. and Mrs. Dullard.

This article is about the most topical, spicy, famous and funny awards. There are national and international anti-awards. Their homeland is the USA.

National Anti-awards

An exemplary anti-award is the Golden Raspberry Award. It singles out the worst actors, screenwriters, directors works and the worst movies. It exists as a peculiar offshoot to Oscar Award. There is George Bush among Raspberry winners, who received this award for the part in the movie Fahrenheit 911. But you should not believe that only bad actors are Raspberrys laureates. For example, Sharon Stone, Marlon Brando and Lawrence Olivier were awarded with a plastic berry as well.

The second famous Award is Stella Award, annually conferred for the most ridiculous and wild court verdict. There are lots of applicants who are worthy of this prize. But a stern jury thoroughly checks every case; it must be an absurd and absolutely real event.

International Anti-awards

The most honorable (and the most offensive) are international awards.

''Chicken Little'' Award got its name in honor of its animation prototype from the Walt Disney Cartoon. It is given for exaggerated forecasts of unavoidable destruction of the environment.

The main targets of the Chicken Little Award are the cases of outrageous stupidity. The authority in California stopped the electrification program for the benefit of environmental protection.

There is an anti-award for the dirtiest countries. It is instituted by UNO, and the main criterion for awarding is the participating of the country in greenhouse effect creation. So, USA, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia received a coal bag the symbol of this award.
