beneath the 3.1 inch HGVA display which is also a touch screen with a touch QWERTY as well. The phone has the Motoblur technology for easy social messaging, music and entertainment and a camera for photo and video capture.

The phone utilizes the Android platform (1.5 upgradable to 2) which enables it to hold many applications on top of those preloaded, and for the user to be able to multi-task using more than one application at once.

The handset has a full HTML web browser and is able to connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi when in compatible areas along with other multiple networks which include GSM, HSDPA and Class 12 EDGE and GPRS respectively.

The Backflip has a 5 megapixel resolution camera with continuous digital zoom, automatic focus and an LED flash for poor light conditions. It also has image editing tools allowing the user to easily crop photos, and further capabilities are available through apps which can be downloaded.

Connectivity is presented with micro-USB or syncing between the deice and a computer, along with Bluetooth 2.0 (Class 2) with support for wireless stereo headsets to listen to music with, as opposed to more traditional headphones via the 3.5mm jack audio connection also available.

The phone has an internal Assisted GPS (aGPS) antenna and is as such able to provide Laotian based services through applications such as Google Maps for route planning, local points of interest, directions and more.

Messaging is made simple with the Motoblur technology which allows the user to easily message contacts through social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, as well as the direct text and multimedia messaging. Wireless Village instant messaging is also present, as are corporate email configuration and POP3 and IMAP protocols for personal and other email accounts straight to the phone.

The Android Media Player makes it possible for the user to enjoy their favourite tracks which have been sorted for them, and create playlists also. Along with music playback, video streaming is also possible on this handset. The video capture rate from the phones camera meanwhile offers good quality video at 24 frames per second.

The Motorola Backflip has a unique and trendy design which encompasses both a large intuitive touch screen with on-screen QWERTY keyboard, along with a full QWERTY keyboard to give the user the best of both worlds when using the impressive features and camera which are offered by the handset.
