The N8 By Nokia Is Aesthetically Attractive As Well As Highly Functional
The Nokia N8 is the manufacturers new flagship smartphone
, and is ideally place to rival the likes of the HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy S in the competitive smartphone market. This is a handset which ticks all the boxes, and trumps the competition in some respects, most notably with its digital camera. This is the crowning feature of the handset, boasting 12 megapixels, with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, and HD video recording.
The Nokia N8 is arguably the ultimate cameraphone available today. Thanks to its operating pixel resolution of 4000x 3000, the resulting photos are of stunning quality. A Xenon flash is provided meaning that low lighting conditions are no problem, whilst autofocus and face detection are included to simplify the task of taking photos. Geo-tagging is another feature of the 12 megapixel camera. Functioning thanks to GPS, users can keep track of where they took their photos and shot their videos. As an alternative to taking still images, users can shoot video footage, in stunning HD at 720p quality. Therefore the results are top notch, and users can even use the TV-out port to connect the handset to a compatible TV to enjoy their masterpiece on the big screen in full HD. There is a secondary camera located on the front of the handset, meaning that users can carry out video calls in VGA quality with users who have a compatible handset. Whilst the imaging capabilities of the Nokia N8 are impressive to say the least, there are many other strings to the N8s bow....
A 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen allows users to browse the internet and the Symbian^3 UI with ease. Not only is it highly responsive and intuitive, but it is also provides superb display of onscreen imagery, rendering up to 16 million colours within 360x 640 pixels.
Wi-Fi connectivity offers a great browsing experience with the HTML browser. HSDPA takes care of internet access in areas with 3G coverage, offering fast speeds of 10.2 Mbps. Additional connectivity features of the N8 include GPRS, EDGE, micro USB and Bluetooth.
A whopping 16GB of internal storage means users can store thousands of music tracks or other files such as videos and photos; the Nokia N8 is compatible with many music and video file formats. Further storage is available thanks to the micro SD slot, which users can use to gain a further 32GB of storage by installing an appropriate memory card!
This range of technology is all well and good, but what does the phone look like? This is another area where Nokia has come up trumps, designing the N8 with a slightly retro feel with angular lines and a sleek profile. It is also available in a range of vibrant colour options including dark grey, silver white, green, blue and orange. Therefore, a colour to suit every taste is sure to be found, meaning the style conscious mobile phone user is catered for.
The Nokia N8 ticks all the boxes, and it is easy to see why the phone has proven so popular. Whatever you are looking for in a new smartphone, be it in the aesthetics or functionality department, take a closer look at the Nokia N8.
