The Nokia N8 Utilises An Extensive Spec List

The Nokia has recently released the N8, their latest Smartphone

. It looks set to be a popular handset thanks to the inclusion of features such as an impressive touch screen, Wi-Fi Internet access and a stunning 12 mega pixel digital camera.

The Nokia N8 provides internal storage of 16 GB as standard. However further storage can be attained by utilising the included micro SD slot and installing a memory card of up to 32 GB. This offers ample storage for an entire digital music collection for example. The internal phonebook can store a practically endless number of contacts and also features the popular Photocall function.

A long list of features makes the Nokia N8 one of the most versatile handsets available today. The versatile internal media player supports a whole host of different music and video file formats such as MP3 and MP4. A number of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of downloadable games) and a stereo FM radio player are also provided to keep users entertained. Business users are sure to appreciate a document viewer (which is compatible with Microsoft Office and PDF documents).

Class 33 versions of both EDGE & GPRS provide optimum connectivity to cellular networks. In areas covered by 3G, HSDPA provides access to the Internet at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 2 MB per second). An even faster connection can be attained however, whenever a signal from a wireless Internet router is detected. When this is the case, Wi-Fi connectivity takes advantage of the signals providing users with Internet access at broadband speeds. Both Bluetooth and USB connections provide both wireless and direct connections to other compatible hardware devices such as mobile phones and computers.

As previously mentioned, the Nokia N8 is equipped with arguably the most impressive digital camera to be found on any mobile phone today. It boasts a whopping 12 mega pixels, which operates at a pixel resolution of 4000x 3000. Featuring Carl Zeiss optics, Autofocus and Xenon flash, the resulting images is to be seen to be believed. As well as geo-tagging and face & smile detection, the camera also boasts the ability to shoot video. This is in 720p quality (High Definition) at a rate of 25 frames per second and includes an LED video light for shooting video in low lighting conditions.

The dimensions of the Nokia N8 are 113.5x 59.1x 12.9 mm and it weighs in at it a pocket friendly 135 grams. The 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen utilises its pixel layout of 360x 640 to display up to 16,000,000 colours, offering unparalleled levels of display quality of on screen images. The screen itself is manufactured from scratch-resistant materials, protecting it from everyday wear and tear. An accelerometer sensor is included which rotates the on screen imagery according to the orientation of the phone, allowing it to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms.

The Nokia N8 is the culmination of some of Nokias most impressive technology. The stunning digital camera should be enough to sell the phone on its own whilst its other specifications are simply the icing on the cake.
