key along with a dedicated key to the message inbox to check for new text messages from friends. It also features a 5 megapixel camera to capture events on video or in images.

The phone has a slim and lightweight design making it easy to hold in one hand and carry comfortably. The 2.4 inch resistive touch display allows you to seamlessly scroll through album music, play games and open apps onscreen, while the alphanumeric keypad beneath offers easy and fast text input when messaging. The touch interface allows you to experience high-quality gaming and just to prove it, Guitar Hero 5 comes preloaded on the handset, with more available for download form the Ovi Store.

The X3 Touch and Type allows you to instantly check messages in your inbox using the dedicated messages key, and reply to friends easily. Emails are also supported from Hotmail, Google Mail and other personal accounts configured. Additionally, you can also chat to friends using the integrated chat services including support for Windows Messenger, GTalk and Ovi Chat along with others.

The music player can be controlled easily using the home screen music player widget, in addition to the immediate access form the dedicated shortcut key. The home screen also features a radio icon to access the integrated FM stereo radio, and download radio settings from a directory of stations available. Meanwhile, you can also add more music to the handset from the Ovi music store, and listen back through the internal speaker, wirelessly with the stereo Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity or with headphones using the 3.5mm AV connector.

The handset has an internal memory of 50 megabytes and a microSD card slot which is able to provide hot swappable and expandable storage memory up to 16 gigabytes. Besides the Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate for close proximity wireless file sharing, there is also a micro USB connector to provide High-Speed USB 2.0 support. The high speed 3.5G and Wi-Fi connections offered meanwhile allow you to browse the web with the Opera Mini web browser featured, along with FlashLite 3.0 to support Flash web applications.

The Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type is an impressive handset featuring both the ease of a touch interface and the speed and simplicity of a traditional alphanumeric and classic style keypad.
