The trick, in internet marketing is really a combination of several things

. Many believe that getting tons of traffic is the key to making money, and that is true, traffic is necessary. However, all of the traffic in the world is useless unless it converts into sales. Trust me. I have been there. Driving traffic to your website is actually the easy part. Getting it to convert is the challenge.

If you are going to get your sales page to convert, the one thing that you absolutely have to have is the trust of your visitor. If your traffic doesn't trust you, then it is not targeted traffic. Many believe that targeted traffic is traffic that holds interest about the subject your site is about. Well, that can be considered targeted traffic but, believe it or not, even targeted traffic can have horrible conversion rates if it doesn't trust you.

An unfortunate truth about the subject of trust is that when a visitor comes to your site, you really only have a very short period of time to gain their trust (literally seconds, not minutes) and that, my friend is a monumental challenge. How you handle that challenge is what makes the difference between turn your visitor into a buyer as opposed to just statistic.

Of course, essential to a good landing page are a professional design, good sales copy that acknowledges the problem or issue at hand as well as a list of all of the great benefits that your product has to offer in terms of a solution. All of these items have to be in place from the start but even they will not do a thing to gain your visitor's trust.


The only way to gain your visitors trust to to be recommended by others. You have to have testimonials and a lot of them. If you don't have third party references stretched down the remaining 75% of your landing page telling your visitors that your product is the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread, then you can forget getting the sale.
