Since now techniques have improved, this price can be from $3-$8 per graft, with $5 being about average. If you need a larger area covered, these cost can also come down a bit. While hair transplants are not inexpensive, they are permanent, and look natural. It is more cost effective that hair replacement, which can not only average around $1,200, but has to be redone at least once a year, and groomed and reattached every one to two months, averaging around $675 dollars a year. If you think about it, it is far less expensive to have a graft, rather than having hair replacement.

Now the big thing about the cost of hair restoration is that in many cases, it can be prevented altogether. Just by doing a little researching into the causes of hair loss in the first place can help keep your hair. Some people are more prone to hair loss, but others experience it because of lack of proper diet, wearing hats too much, or even wearing their hair to tight. Other causes can be from over brushing, and using harsh chemical grooming products. Certain kinds of medical conditions like thyroid disorders can lead to hair loss, and some medication can contribute to it as well.
