The Package Holiday Eco-programs Grew From Green Line

? In 1997, ecotourism came to Lebanon. Since then it's witnessed successes in places like Arsal, in the North East part of Lebanon. Tourists began exploring Arsal, have signed up for a type of package holiday. It's called a natural holiday and is in itself a destination. Arsal is a major player in the environment and the development of eco friendly activities, ARDA is a non-government organization known as Reforestation Network. This is an non-government organization regarding ecotourism and they were to introduce a unique culture to the world.

In the recent past, a need for better organization in the region has given way to growth in ecological tourism. The need has evolved into a well-managed ecotourism package holiday campaign. Here was the need to better coordinate the services. In 1990, Lebanon, as well as others, signed an agreement to the limitation and participation of conservation activities. This agreement stated that eco-tourism would have a minimal impact on the environment of the host country. It further stated that eco-tourism could promote environmental and cultural awareness.

It was found that ecotourism is a highly consumer-centred activity, catering mostly two alternative lifestyles of a fresh middle class urbanized Society. It was agreed that ecotourism would offer a positive experience for travelers and vacationers who visit. It was agreed that this type of vacation should promote employment and financial benefits for local citizens. It was thought that eco-tourism would also raise the consciousness of the host country's political, sociological, and environmental groups, regarding conservation ecology.

An aspect of ecotourism in places like Horsh Ehden, and Barouk Cedars as well as the valley Nahr Ibrahim, would be aimed at highlighting and publicizing Lebanon as a travel destination as opposed to Eco-friendly activates. Lebanon earned an income and gives impetus to the birth of the (Green line 2000). Weel, an non government organizations that assists in the certification of eco-tourism destinations.
