Although it lacks the style and beauty of some of its competitors, this TV is functional and utilitarian.

However, if hooked up to a surround sound system or to extra speakers, the audio output is outstanding.

For people that do not want to invest in a 3D capable television, the Panasonic TXP42V20B is an excellent choice. For the most part, the television is of excellent quality and design. The TXP42V20Bs most notable qualities are its contrast ratio, near perfect default video settings, Ethernet port, lack of ghosting, and built in HD tuners. Even though the built in speakers are slightly underpowered and can produce muddy sounds, the Panasonic TXP42V02B is well worth purchasing if shopping for a 42 inch plasma display.
