Last week it was my mother and fathers 50th wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful day; we had hired out the village hall, put up a little marquee, got a small beer tent and some caterers in and had a superb time. And it was all a surprise; they only knew when they turned up! It was really special.

The trouble was that all the time I was organising the party, I hadn't thought about what I wanted to get them as a gift, and by the time I realized, it was getting late. I was totally stuck - I mean what do you get a couple that has been together for 50 years! They have everything they want already!

While I was getting stressed out about this present I was thinking, "there just isn't enough time" and that's when it struck me - Time! I would get them matching watches, maybe get them engraved. So I started looking online. After a few hours I had decided on Citizen Watches for the pair of them; not too ostentatious, and at the same time, not something you'd want to hide. Perfect. So I ordered my his and hers' Citizen Watches on a next day delivery option, and they arrived as promised on the day of the party. And in the morning I dropped them off at the local jeweler to engrave them. Luckily the jeweler was a friend of my parents and he managed to give me the box when he arrived at the party.

I felt really proud when I gave the present to my parents; they had tears in their eyes when they saw the engraving and the thought that had gone into the present. If only they knew!
