The Perks Of Living In A Condo
In the old days of condominium living the tenants of these buildings were the jet set
, the elite, or the wealthy. Condos were investments that only the wealthiest among us could make, but that isn't the case any longer. Luxury condos are now affordable for the blue collar group, the middle class.
Why are more and more people flocking to condo living? Well, for one thing the price is much easier to digest than the alternative. If you are a couple or a single person living on your own then buying a condo, even a new condo, is much more economically appealing than purchasing a home. The benefits of buying a condo far outweigh the benefits of buying a home.
Luxury condos have several great amenities. You can find new condos that have pools, daycare centers, exercise rooms, and even restaurants in the building. Not all condos are created equally, however, and you'll need to check out the amenities of the condo you're looking at purchasing before signing on the dotted line. When you purchase a house, a pool and other amenities will cost you much more than it will when you purchase a condo.
You also get a sense of community when you live in a condo. When you live in a neighborhood or buy a house in the suburbs, you need to have a housewarming party or wait until the neighborhood block party to get to know your neighbors. In a condo, you are living in much closer proximity to your neighbors and therefore have more chance of meeting them and becoming friends. You also have something in common with your neighbors. Since the condo is actually an investment (you pay maintenance to keep up the appearance, ameneties, etc.) you have a common goal. You're both paying to keep the pool nice and the lawns looking cared for. Having something in common like that is a great way to begin a conversation or a friendship.
Speaking of the upkeep of the luxury condo, you've lucked out again. There is a staff that takes care of cutting the lawn, cleaning the pool, and washing the windows when you live in a condominium. When you live in a house these are things you need to take care of on your own!
Living in a condo has great perks, low cost, great amenities, community, and no responsibility for upkeep of the grounds. It seems like a fantastic time to buy one, don't you think?
