This technology creates a more immersive viewing experience by shining the colours that are on the screen onto the walls around the television. The last feature that Philips includes is Pixel Precise HD, which gives the 37PFL7605 the ability to display 4 trillion colours simultaneously. The only curious omission in the 37PFL7605 is the lack of a Freeview HD tuner.

The Philips 37PFL7605 is a good performer when measuring the quality of the pictures that it produces. The 37PFL7605's 1080p resolution allows it to display extremely bright and vibrant colours, and highly detailed, sharp HD images. Although some televisions have a problem displaying images quickly without ghosting and blurring, the 37PFL7605 gets around this problem with this 100 Hz LCD with 2 ms response time.

Philips has designed the 37PFL7605 to be easily connected to most modern audio and visual devices. Included in the design of the 37PFL7605 are an SCART port, component video inputs, Ethernet port, 3 HDMI slots, and a USB port. Philips has also smartly designed the slots to face downward, making wall mounting easy.

Access to the internet over a home network can be gained by using the Ethernet port. Other devices on the network can stream media files to the television using a feature called DLNA. Thanks to a feature called Net TV, it is possible to access sites like YouTube to view videos.
