One of the major problems new network marketers have is securing the proper product marketing plan

. In other words, "I have a great product but How do I market it? Great question right? I think so. Some people assume what worked in the past will still work today. While in some instances that may be true, it really will depend upon the market and the product.

I always suggest to new marketers that they sit down and carefully analyze their product. They need to list all of the features of their product while paying special attention to any unique features. They should match features with benefits. You should keep in mind that every consumer wants to know what your product can do for them.

As you do this study, look through the eyes of the consumer. Be as detailed as possible then when you put your product marketing plan together you will have plenty of information to build your marketing plan from.

Many companies tell new marketers to start with a list. This is very old school but it is not necessarily wrong. I believe if tweaked you can actually have much faster results. If sampling products if going to be a part of your product marketing plan, I suggest sending the people on your list a free sample and use the I need your opinion method to generate sales and generate interest. Make sure that as you build your list you categorize people according to "Do they have means to purchase?, Arethey open usually to these types of products? etc.

This type of plan will work in most markets but it will require proper planning and you must have a supply not only of samples but product to sell since this type of product marketing plan will generate sales right away.

Another product marketing plan is the utilization of video. Websites like Youtube and Vimeo provide a free vehicle for you to promote your product all over the world virtually free. Specialized training can show you how to properly use this very effectively in your product marketing plan.

I believe that the best way to market your product is to have several ways of marketing. Sampling, obtaining and sharing testimonials and video marketing are just a few. The key is to try it, track it, tweak it so that you can perfect your product marketing plan.
