This is the lazy person's method and is good if you love the fast way of doing things. This method is not ideal as when the formula, gets your saliva, it will be rubbed off. That leaves your teeth with blotches where the formula dried and yellow spots where your saliva cleaned off the formula. The brush on also contains alcohol which is needed to make sure that it dries fast, but alcohol contributes to bad breath. So basically, you are switching white teeth for bad breath. Most of this brush on teeth whitening formula contains glycerin which takes out moisture from your tooth enamel, causing sensitivity as a result of whitening.

2. The Teeth Whitening strips: This happens to be the second most common way of teeth whitening. This is also developed to be simple and easy to use as everyone loves fast results! The way this works is you put these strips on your upper and lower teeth, and then peel them off. But, your teeth are not all level and in a straight line are they? Some of us have cracks in our teeth, there are grooves and bumps where each tooth meets, making it an uneven surface. By applying the strips to the teeth, you will miss the cracks or the area that has a groove or a bump and these places will not be white. Pro longed use of the whitening strip will cause whiter teeth but also more prominent cracks and gaps between your teeth. This would not be a nice sight, regardless how white your teeth are.

3. Bleaching gel trays: this would be the most effective way to whiten teeth. It would be more time consuming and awkward because of the tray, but the bleaching gel will be similar to what your doctors so you can get the same results. Make sure you get a gel with higher bleaching contents so that you get faster results. This method is also safe, but it takes some time.

White teeth are essential to some people, but not to others. You can decide for yourself if your teeth need any bleaching. You can also try all the three types of products listed above and decide for yourself which home whitening product would suit you best.
