Toss the Bad Snacks
Many college students, especially those living in the dorms, will stock up on convenient snacks in order to have something to eat while they study, watch TV, or hanging out with classmates. However, 90% of these foods are full of calories, fat, and preservatives. The alternative for this is to purchase healthier items to munch on. Some fruits can keep for up to a week, which make them good for snacking. Other healthier choices include granola bars, nuts, carrots, and other veggies.
Back Away from the Beer
College is a time when many young people attend their first parties. This can mean the consumption of beer and other alcoholic beverages. Sadly, most of these drinks contain a great deal of calories per serving. It's not uncommon to take in hundreds of calories within just a few hours of drinking. One of the quickest ways to lose belly fat is to give up the booze. You can still enjoy the party, but bring your own non-alcoholic, healthy beverages to the bash. Opting not to drink will reduce your caloric intake, which can help you start burning fat from your middle.
Incorporate Activity
Do as much as you can to include exercise in your daily routines. It can be hard to find the time to visit the campus gym, or you may be attending a school without such facilities. There are some ways you can still be active. Walk to class instead of driving. Take the stairs rather than the elevator. When you leave campus, park as far away from the location you are visiting as possible to get a few extra steps in.
