There are two purposes for establishing the health care reform. One reason is to help health insurers cope financially with the continuously increasing costs of health insurance.
New technology has contributed a lot to the patients' treatment and care however it also drove up the costs. Over the years however advancement came from many different sectors in the health care industry that it's hard to tell which factor spurred the rate hike.
Medicare and Medicaid also contributed to the increase for the government and for the various states. The states must contribute a certain portion of all medical health insurance costs along with collaborating with the government. The states Medicaid rolls and Medicare rolls have grown tremendously in the past few years and is now causing them much worry. A number of citizens in a lot of states are apprehensive because their either going broke or having a big loss. States have been looking for different ways to overcome their health coverage problems but they're not going anywhere.
Long-term health care for the seniors is more than double the rate these past years. Now, you add in the additional baby boomers that are close to retirement or decided to retire at an earlier age and you have a disaster for health care in the making.
Now Congress is going through the health care reform bill and trying to make adjustments in the form of reducing and or diminishing the health care services in lieu of higher annual health insurance premiums. No one expected the expenses to go up thet high and that fast.
Some of the studies that are coming in to the health insurance providers are real revelations as they are seeing a rising cost of thirty-five percent to fifty percent over the next few years.
But the notion remains the same that the health care reform is going to bring down health insurance costs and doctor fees. Physicians are also affected because reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid will now be 21% less.
