Having a ring bearer in a wedding ceremony is an excellent idea to involve the young generation and to teach them the importance of a wedding. There can be two ring bearers in the ceremony, each of them carrying one ring. In some cases, ring bearers are girls. She may have flower petals on her pillow as well and can be dressed the way the flower girls are. But this happens very rarely.

Most couples choose to clothe the ring bearers in an outfit similar to that worn by the groomsmen. If it is impractical or impossible to find similar outfits in small sizes, letting the boy wear a tie that matches the groomsmen outfits can suffice. In some cases, ring bearers will be formally attired as a page, wearing a traditional period costume. This variation is often seen in extremely formal weddings.

However, preparing a ring bearer for his duties and responsibilities may sometimes be difficult. The younger he is, the more the difficulty to perfect his role. Here is a simple guide in training your ring bearer: orient the child of what he is going to do in a step-by-step manner.
