The Samsung S8500 Wave Has A Stunning Amoled Screen!

The Samsung S8500 Wave carries with it a new operating system

, the Wave runs the brand new, pristine Bada OS, an interesting fact: in Korean the word Bada means ocean, but more on that later... There is a 5 mega pixel digital camera and the touch screen display measures at 3.3 inches and is entirely scratch resistant. The Wave supports Wi Fi and HSDPA connections and its super thin well finished full metal body is both comfortable to handle and would look good in the hands of many.

The Super AMOLED display is absolutely stunning and manages to perfectly reproduce over 16 million colours with its 480 x 800 pixel resolution and the TUI performs superbly; the TouchWiz 3.0 UI is very responsive and gracefully motions you through its interface like breeze over a river thanks also to its 1GHz CPU, gliding through the diverse applications the Bada OS supports is a pleasurable experience to say the least, Samsung could have a gem on there hands with the Wave.

The phone possesses good web connectivity as you would assume, high speed Wi Fi and 3G connections give you full coverage from anywhere with wireless signal and EDGE/GPRS is installed for quick data transfer and the browsing experience is handled very well with the Dolphin 2.0 Web Browser which in conjunction with the multi touch capabilities gives you the pinch and spread zoom system for better perspective over web pages. Bluetooth 3.0 technology and a handy USB port make up the rest of the connectivity options.

The phone also has goo social networking features; the SNS application allows you to link contacts from your phonebook to there IM, there is plenty of choice here too with Yahoo, Google Talk, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace... there are more on top of this. Samsung have also gifted there latest masterpiece with the UltimateInbox, this feature pools all of your e-mail inboxes in to one ultimate inbox so to speak, this tells you that multiple e-mail accounts can be handled which is handy with many of us having both personal and business accounts to maintain.

For additional apps Samsung have pre installed Samsung apps in to all there Bada handsets including the S8500 Wave, it is very similar to Apples App Store and the Android Market, a variety of downloadable applications are available to give you the opportunity to personalize your Wave with the apps you need.

Samsung have built in a 5 mega pixel camera complete with auto focus and LED flash, the video recorder can capture 720p HD videos and although the camera interface isnt much to look at it is however very easy to use and offers enough options to make day to day snapping a little more interesting. The playback of HD videos in an array of file formats on the S8500 is remarkable, running at 30fps the videos are flawless, this is very impressive for a mobile phone, but that is just the age we are in; the Smartphone age!

The Music player on the Samsung S8500 is a delight to use, the interface runs smoothly and the file organization options are helpful, the sound quality through the standard headphones is nothing to sneer at, there are strong bass tones and the high and mid sound is clear.
