The Samsung Wave Is A Great Touch Phone

The recently released Samsung S8500 Wave is a very versatile touch screen phone

. Its key features include Wi-Fi internet connection, 5 mega pixel camera, and micro SD slot. All these features are encased within an attractive, slimline handset.

The Samsung Wave features a versatile internal media player which supports a wide range of both video and music file formats. A stereo FM radio player and a range of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of downloadable games) are also provided to keep users entertained for hours on end. An organiser, voice memo reorder and T9 are all included to make the S8500 Wave a versatile everyday handset.

Vibration and MP3 ringtones are the alert types on offer, and also allow a degree of handset customisation to take place. By utilising MP3 files as ringtones, users can hear the song of their choice any time the phone rings. A 3.5mm audio jack and a speakerphone system are both provided to allow hands free communication on the move.

As mentioned, the Samsung Wave features a built in digital camera boasting 5 mega pixels. This allows photos of very good quality to be taken. This task is simplified thanks to the inclusion of a number of image enhancing features, such as autofocus, LED flash, and face, smile and blink detection. The camera can also shoot video, and this is in 720p quality at a rate of 30 frames per second. This is amongst the highest level of video quality currently available on a mobile phone.

The Samsung Wave measures 118x56x10.9mm, so it slim line and light weight at just 118 grams. This makes it a pocket friendly handset, which is also comfortable to hols and use on the move. The appearance is classically Samsung, with angular lines and grey and black finish with silver detailing.

The Super AMOLED touch screen measures 3.3 inches. This not only offers a dynamic method of navigating the Bada OS user interface, but also displays on screen content brightly and clearly thanks to the ability to display up to 16M colours within a pixel resolution of 480x800.

Cellular networks are connected to via class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE in areas with little or no 3G coverage. HSDPA provides a 3G internet connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 2 mega bytes per second). Wi-Fi connectivity can be used for gaining a much faster internet connection in various hotspots located around the country, therefore providing an enhanced web browsing experience.

The spacious internal phonebook includes the popular photocall feature whereby a photo can be assigned to each contact. Internal memory is 2GB/8GB as standard; however the inclusion of a micro SD slot means users have the option to install a memory card of up to 32 GB. This should prove more than adequate for the needs of most users, as a memory card of this size can store most peoples entire digital music collection.

There is no doubt that the Samsung Wave is a stylish phone, and this alone is sure to attract many fans, however the spec list shows that the Wave has both style and substance.
