The Samsung Wave Runs The New Bada Operating System

The Samsung Wave is the first official phone from Samsung to include the bada operating system

, which provides a platform for running native applications powered by a 1GHz processor, and brought to the user through a sleek Super AMOLED 3.3 inch display.

This touchscreen Smart phone also boasts a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, as well as Face and Smile detection and Geo-tagging featured. The video capture resolution is an impressive 1280x720 too.

The internet browser is Dolphin Browser 2.0 which is a full HTML web browser through WiFi high-speed internet, and there is built-in online support for social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile the Social Hub feature of this new software offers push based integrated messaging between such social networks, in addition to a Push Calendar, and integrated contacts and inbox, for easy use and management of whats happening.

The handset software user interface (UI) is Touchwiz 3.0 which provides the user with customization of their menus and control of widgets, including a fully customizable home page. The Quick Panel offers one-touch access to various major features. The 1GHz processor helps this UI to run faster and smoother, and run functions simultaneously with ease.

The Samsung Wave has 2 gigabytes of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot, which is capable of storing up to 32GB of data. Alternatively this can be shared using the highly advanced Bluetooth 3.0, or via the USB connectivity and easy computer synchronization. Microsoft Exchange email is supported alongside IMAP, POP3 and SMTP.

For entertainment, this phone has an MP3 music player, and video playback for MPEG4, DivX and WMV. There is also an FM radio with recording capability. The video is enriched by the AMOLED ON-CELL display which is more vivid and has reduced reflection compared to the original AMOLED. There is no gap between the touch sensor and the display itself which strengthens its sensitivity to the user.

The Samsung Wave is the first of many phones to come which will be using this new generation operating system, with faster more powerful processors, greater internal memory, and all through faster and more user-friendly user interfaces. In addition to this is the new touchscreen technology, bringing the display even more to life, especially for video playback. With a feature-packed camera and easy contact and social integration, among the many other features, this is a powerful phone, which is helping to move other phones further forward into the future.
