The Secret Of My Most Successful Students, What They Know That You Should Learn

Long before there were infomercials and the Internet even before there were colleges

people recognized that it made sense to learn a skill from someone with experience. Going way back into ancient history, we know that generations of artists, sculptors, stone masons, and carpenters learned their trades by watching, listening, and eventually mimicking the techniques of their masters.

We may have a lot more bells and whistles available to us today, but people still learn the same way. If you want to be a better golfer, you take lessons and let the pro show you how he positions his hands, his feet, how he swings the club. If you want to be a better guitar player, you watch and listen to videos of the greats playing their famous riffs, and you practice, practice, practice until you can replicate it. Whatever the skill you want to learn, the best way to get there is to study the superstars and imitate their techniques.

Sure, art, music and athletics depend on God-given talent. But no artist, musician or athlete can become a superstar without lots of hard work and study. They dont just walk onto the field or the stage and shock the world with a brand new way of doing things. First they learn to reproduce the work of the superstars who came before them. Then, once they can replicate those results again and again and again, then they can start trying innovative things that will leave their unique mark.

Ok, real estate investing is not as high-profile and sexy as the world of professional athletics or music. But for the average Joe (or Jane), its a far more realistic way to make a fortune. It doesnt require any God-given talent, other than a desire to be successful and the ability to do 8th grade math. And you know what - the same principles of learning apply.

Im no superstar, but I do have 30 years of experience in real estate investing. Ive been financially independent since I was 23 years old, and today Im a millionaire many times over. Ive got a proven method that works time and time again, in any state, and city or town in the country and Im ready, willing and able to teach it to you.

And it will work for you if you follow my plan and apply my methods. Just like a painter, musician or athlete, you have to imitate the techniques of the teacher over and over again until theyre reflexive. Some of it may feel uncomfortable. You may think you know a better way. But resist the urge to tweak the plan or cut corners until youve got some real experience under your belt.

Every year, I check in with students that have come through our bootcamps in the last 12 months. And without fail, the most successful ones tell me that the best thing they did was follow the plan they were taught down to the letter. Just plugging into that template allows them to see results quickly and in most cases, achieve financial independence in under a year.

Now, that doesnt mean youre locked into that one formula for the rest of your life. Im not interested in churning out a line of Russ Whitney robots.

Im just saying theres no reason to reinvent the wheel when youre starting out. Following the plan in the beginning allows you to gain experience and build confidence both things you need to get to the next level. If you try to strike out on your own before youre ready, youre likely to take a hit both to your bank account and your confidence.

But once you build your foundation, and my basic formula is second-nature to you, then theres room to spread your wings. The basic concept, the wheel, manages to move everything from a bicycle to a tank and do it well. Once you know how to turn it, you decide where it will take you.
