Affiliate marketing is not as easy as it used to be

. It is no secret that search engines such as Google do not really show love to affiliate sites as they used to. For this reason, many article directories no longer allow affiliate links to be inserted in the resource box, much less into the actual article itself. What type of situation does this end up creating for affiliates and affiliate marketers? The main thing is that it makes syndicating content with affiliate links all but completely impossible. Or does it?

Let's think about this logically for a moment. In terms of providing fresh and unique content to web surfers, who owns content? Do the search engines own content? Actually, no. Search engines do not own content. Search engines are aggregators, meaning they read what others have and present a link and an excerpt to it in the form of a search query. If they owned actual content, then they could throw that in the results, but since they don't, they can't.

What does this mean? It means that if you are the author of unique and relevant content, then you have something of value, something that you own and that you govern and that you have complete control over. If you want to let search engines see it, you can. If you want to hide it from search engines, you can. If you want to post it and make it available to search engines from only your site, you can. You own the content and you call the shots over what search engines can do with it.

What then must you do? The answer is simple. You must write a well researched, 100% unique and compelling article. Once you do that, you can put whatever type of link you want to in it, even affiliate links. Then all you have to do is publish it in a location that allow article with affiliate links in them.
