Slave trade has since bee abolished from all countries
. This happened after industrialization as the western countries no longer needed slaves to work at their industries and homes. Those who had been abducted could no longer go back to their countries. A lot of Africans suffered a lot but most are now living well in those countries since the countries have now embraced civilization and are discouraging racial discrimination. They also get education, jobs and shelters as residents of these countries. Slave trade left behind a lot of history and historic sites. There are ruins of houses that used to house slaves in Africa especially in the Coastal towns of West Africa. Some of these houses bring out real memories to those who only live in historic times. Some of the houses still have marks of chains that the slaves were tied to. The ruins are located at different locations near the ocean and have weathered very many years. Some have fully collapsed and there are only pillars that remain of them. Slave trade locations especially in East Africa also include caves. Caves were also used to hide slaves on transit. Some of the specific locations where one can find such sites are Mombasa a coastal town in Kenya. Here you will get to see Jumba and Gedi Ruins. There are also caves that are open to visitors. These are under the preservation of the National Museums of Kenya. In Zanzibar the caves are found in Chole Island that kept slaves on transit to the higher seas.
