The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Features An Impressive Digital Camera
Sony Ericsson has recently launched a UK TV advertising campaign for the Vivaz
. One of the manufacturers latest smart phones, this attractive handset features impressive technology ranging from an 8.1 mega pixel camera to Wi-Fi internet connectivity, with an impressive high definition screen.
Users of the Vivaz are alerted to incoming calls and messages via a combination of vibration and ringing with the option to utilise MP3 music files as ringtones. This allows the phone to be customised so users can hear a track of their choosing whenever the phone rings. A speakerphone and a 3.5mm audio jack are both provide for hands free chatting.
As mentioned, the Vivaz is equipped with a built in digital camera boasting an impressive 8.1 mega pixels. Obviously with such a high pixel count, the camera can take extremely high quality images. A number of image enhancing features are included with the cameras software, ranging from autofocus, LED flash, touch focus and face & smile detection. By utilising these features, taking quality pictures is a breeze. Of course, the camera can also shoot video, and this is in 720p quality at a rate of 24 frames per second.
As expected from a phone of this calibre, a number of useful features are included as standard. These range from a versatile media player which supports all the common formats of music and video files. Social networking applications provide access to Facebook and Twitter so users can stay up to date with friends and family, and instantly access these sites to share their thoughts with the world. Another useful feature is YouTube and Picasa integration which allows photos and video taken on the phones built in camera to be uploaded to these for the world to enjoy, all in a matter of seconds. QuickOffice document reader and a voice memo recording function make the Vivaz an effective productivity tool so it will also appeal to business users.
75 MB of internal storage is a provided as standard which can store a number of photos or music tracks. A micro SD slot is also included for this purpose, which has a pre-installed 8 GB memory card. Should further storage be required, this can be achieved simply by installing a memory card of up to 16 GB. The internal phonebook can store a large number of contacts and includes the popular photocall feature.
As expected, the Vivaz does not cut any corners when it comes to connectivity. A range of methods are utilised for staying connected to cellular networks and the internet. Class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE are used for connecting to cellular networks in all but the most isolated areas. In areas covered by 3G, an internet connection is provided via HSDPA at speeds of 10.2 mega bytes per second. Wireless internet routers can provide a faster connection via Wi-Fi, therefore giving an enhanced web browsing experience.
With its impressive hardware as well as exciting software, this touch screen phone ticks all the boxes, whether you are looking for an entertainment device, productivity device or a fast web browsing tool.
