The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Includes A Range Of Media Capabilities
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz was recently released and look set to take the market by storm thanks to its impressive spec list
. Its key features include touch screen navigation, an 8MP camera, and most notably, the ability to record and play High Definition video.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz measures 107x51.7x12.5mm and weighs in at just 97 grams. Its slim line profile and light weight make it an extremely comfortable handset to hold and use. The 3.2 inch TFT resistive touch screen utilises a pixel resolution of 360x640 pixels to display up to 16 million colours for high quality display of on screen content and HD video playback. The screen features an accelerometer sensor for auto rotation of the screen content allowing it to be viewed in both landscape and portrait orientations.
As well as vibration, MP3 music files can be assigned as ringtones to alert users to incoming calls and text messages. A speakerphone is included allowing users to chat hands free, and a 3.5mm audio jack accommodates hands free headsets for this purpose, as well as earphones for listening to music.
The phonebook can store a practically unlimited number of entries and includes the useful photocall feature. 75MB of internal storage is provided to store media files and other data. However, the inclusion of a micro SD slot means that further storage can be attained. This is accomplished by installing a memory card of up to 16 GB, although an 8 GB card is installed as standard.
Several connectivity options means the Vivaz stays connected in all but the most remote locations. Class 10 EDGE and GPRS offer the primary means of connecting to networks, but in areas covered by 3G, HSDPA is available at speeds of up to 10.2Mbps. Wi-Fi connectivity allows a faster internet connection to be utilised, by harnessing the power of local wireless internet routers. Bluetooth is installed which offers a convenient means of sharing files with friends in the same location. In order to carry out tasks such as transferring media files and backing up contact info, the Vivaz has a micro USB (v2.0) connection allowing the handset to be connected to a computer.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz features an extremely impressive 8MP camera (3264x2448 pixel resolution) allowing users to take pictures and shoot video in stunning High Definition. Autofocus and LED flash, along with several other impressive features simplify the task of taking quality still images and videos.
The Vivaz features an impressive media player which is capable of playing most formats of both music and video files, whilst a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed and downloadable games add to the entertainment options. Social networkers will appreciate the inclusion of applications allowing direct access to FaceBook and Twitter, along with Picasa and YouTube integration for directly uploading pictures and videos taken on the phones camera.
Available in a range of colours, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz offers appeal to tech-savvy users as well as the style conscious mobile phone user.
