We have a very good looking phone here; it is basically a tiny version of the Xperia X10. The touch screen is pretty responsive considering it is resistive as opposed to capacitive, but as the screen is only 2.55 inches there is no need for multi touch. The QVGA pixel resolution makes the blue shaded interface look very smooth and the general design of the X10 Mini is very robust and it feels very luxurious to handle. The phone is very hard to put down once you have picked it up, whether it is the novelty of its tiny size or just the application rich interface you are resented with, the phone is very addictive. Sony Ericsson has made the phone available in loads of colour variations for a much more marketable phone all around.

Right from the start the TimeScape overlay present it user with the intuitive four-corner menu system, with it you can customize which widgets you want direct access to and place one in each of the four corners. There are up to twenty active widget screens which you can scroll between, and while using one of the widget screens you can launch a three-by-three grid system by swiping your finger from the bottom of the screen, the grid houses the various apps the phone has to offer, and thanks to the Android Market accessibility you can add to your collection. The phone can run demanding apps without dip in performance, and it operates with absolutely no lag.

The TimeScape SNS feed has been skimmed down to fit on the X10 Mini; it streams all of your friends social network activities, messages, e-mails and texts into one easy to track feed of information. There is also integrated support for Instant messaging with compatible providers like WindowsLive and GoogleTalk. The default browser is Googles Android based WebKit; it has all the basic controls needed for general browsing and web pages look great on the QVGA display. The X10 Mini utilises both 3G and Wi Fi technologies to access the internet; both connections are reliable and deliver high speed connectivity. Sony Ericsson has also packed the phone with an in-built A-GPS which works in collaboration with the GoogleMaps app and WisePilot turn-by-turn navigation.

The camera is a 5MP effort which comes fully loaded with a flash and auto focus; it is capable of high resolution images and great video recordings, and all your work can be uploaded t the likes of Facebook and YouTube, thanks to the advanced sharing features Sony Ericsson have supplied. The phone has a brilliant music player, typical of the Swedish-Japanese partnership. The video player is also quite handy and both players will comfortably playback many types of file codec.
