The Sony KDL40EX703 is one of Sony's latest releases in televisions available in the UK

. This LCD television offers LED edge lighting so that it is super thin. It is a wide screen format television that easily connects to the Freeview stations and by adding an adapter can connect to WiFi.

While many of the first and second generation LCD screens were considered lacking, this television offers great pictures. Using the on board processor allows it to produce brilliant colors as well as a high contrast black and white. These two features mix to give owners an excellent picture in a 40 inch wide screen format.

Use of LEDs for edge lighting the set allows Sony to make a very thin and light weight television. Additionally, the use of the Bravia III engine by the television allows specific lights to be turned on and off giving excellent contrast. Blacks are very dark while whites remain sharp when using this television.

Connectivity should be very easy using this television. There are four total HDMI ports, two located in the back and two on the side. Additionally you will find a USB2 port as well as a 15 pin computer in port. In addition, you will also find all the normal television connectors we have come to expect.

By adding the optional USB WiFi adapter, you can connect directly to the internet with no cords. This option means that you can switch from your favorite television shows to U-tube videos with a press or the remote control.

The Bravia III engine is upgraded from Sony's earlier engines. Those early engines were what kept Sony on the leading edge as LCD televisions were being developed.
