The Starter Warlock Tutorial For Playing Wow

The following WoW warlock guide will attempt to explain to you the main benefits of playing this character class

. The warlock class is focused on damage over time spells, shadow bolts, and conjuring demons. They are master necromancers that deal in anguish and agony. Though warlocks are unable to stand toe to toe in up close fighting, they more than make up for it by casting high damage spells from a safe distance.

Many of a warlock's spells use soul shards which must be collected from slain enemies. Warlocks are arguably the fastest leveling class particularly when playing solo. In groups, warlocks are frequently the top damage dealers.

Allowable races for the warlock class are restricted to Blood Elves, Humans, Undead, Gnomes, and Orcs. Since warlocks are a caster class, they're allowed only to equip cloth armor. As far as weapons go, warlocks are limited to only using staves, daggers, wands, and some swords.

Warlocks are best known for their ability to summon and control a variety of demonic minions including Felguards, Doomguards, Infernals, Felhunters, Succubi, Voidwalkers, and Imps. Each of the minions can be valuable, but you will need to determine the advantages of each of them for the job at hand.

Warlocks have a wide array of spells at their disposal including DoT's, direct damage spells (DD's), and many utility spells. They can use soul shards in order to produce a variety of items and also to perform resurrection on fallen comrades. They also possess a minor self healing ability via drain life, and some crowd control talents as well. Warlocks are able to acquire their Felsteed and Dreadsteed mounts for a much lower price than the other classes because they are quest rewards summoned with magic, not directly purchased.

Affliction talents are geared toward bolstering curses, damage over time spells, and drains. This spec shines at raiding, boss killing, and farming. Affliction is generally acknowledged as being the best leveling spec for the warlock class.

Demonology talents are intended to make summoned demonic minions stronger and more useful, as well as enhancing conjuring spells and giving you better passive bonuses. This is a great spec for survivability, PvP and leveling. This talent spec can be used at lower levels to help make up for a lack of decent spell damage equipment.

The Destruction spec uses talents that are meant to amplify the power of the warlock's fire and shadow spells, which are primarily direct damage (DD) spells that can be used to quickly take out one opponent. This specialization is not as effective as the other specs at lower levels. It requires a lot of soul shards, is not mana efficient, and it is difficult to use for those who want to play by themselves.
