TaylorMade golf was founded in 1979 by Gary Adams

. Adams had done some research and developed the first metal wood. The first TaylorMade driver was a 12 degree metal wood and made its debut at the Walt Disney World National Team Championship golf tournament. This was the beginning of one of the best golf club manufacturers! Some would never have thought that TaylorMade was going to be as big as it is today.
