The television is certainly one of the most popular and important inventions of it's time. Every since the first television set was turned on, a whole new world has been broadcast-ed into our living rooms.

Television is obviously very different today then it was fifty and sixty years ago. It wasn't too long ago that we only had three channels to choose from and we had to get off the couch to turn the knob on the tv to see what was on the other stations. But television and the television set has changed dramatically.

Thanks to cable and satellite tv, the television now has more than 6,000 channels to choose from and with that, we are able to watch pretty much anything we want at anytime. From television shows, sports and news from all around the world. When something happens anywhere in the world, we are now able to know about it immediately. Where before, sometimes we had to wait days.

Television has become so important in our lives that now you can get tv on the internet. You can now watch your television shows anytime from anywhere in the world. You no longer need a television set to watch tv. You can watch it right on your desktop or laptop computer.

The television set has gone through some pretty significant changes itself. They have gone from the big heavy bulky box to the lite sleek and slim look that it has today. The television set also comes in many different sizes now and they're lite enough you can hang them on your wall.

To watch tv in the past you had the choice of three channels to watch and it was in black and white. Today when we watch tv, we have a choice of over 6,000 channels and everything is in color. Who knows how we will watch tv in the future. With tv on the internet, what could possibly be next.
