Anybody who knows me knows I hate doing cardio at the gym with any piece of cardio equipment
. It just isn't that effective when it comes to lose belly fat or achieving that hard body.
That's the main reason why I absolutely hate it!
Im all about being effective, that's why I can keep single digit bodyfat all year round. I focus on what works not was is easy.
Now I know that whole reason you do cardio is to lose belly fat and show off them muscles. But have you ever stopped and thought that maybe your wasting your time?
Especially if you have yet to reach your goals and years have gone by?
When it comes to exercise and improving your body composition its pretty hard to beat the squat and the deadlift.
Here's why...
Muscle is what burns massive amounts of calories not running or jogging. That can actually waste away your muscle.
Having some muscle will allow you to have a high metabolic rate and in return burn more calories as you just do other things in your daily life.
Im going to talk about the squat and why its the key to you losing your belly fat and achieving your goals.
The squat has been scientifically proven to be one of the most effective total body stimulation and body composition exercises known to man.
Why is this?
Its because this one exercise uses more muscles at once, under tension, and gives your actual body total stimulation. In turn giving your body radical composition changes fast.
See the key when your working out is to use exercises that activate the most muscles possible and the squat does exactly that.
There is considerable evidence showing,in the last 10yrs, that the use of squats in a workout regimen increases upper body development drastically too...
Weird huh? But True!
So why don't more people at your local gym do them?
Because they ain't easy! In fact they are really difficult...
And average people are only going to stick with whats comfortable to them, they are not willing to go through major discomfort and pain to lose belly fat and change their bodies dramatically.
But if you are someone who isn't average and you want real results here are the two forms of squats you can start using as fast as today...
First is the front squat. The front squat is a difficult exercise because you simply can't cheat, you have to keep your head up and your chest puffed out. Since the bar is resting on your shoulders you have to keep most of your weight on your heels.
Second is the good ol back squat. When it comes to the back squat you can cheat a little, but I wouldn't make a habit of it. You can severally hurt your lower back.
Keep 80% of your weight on your heels and don't let them come off the ground. Keep your chest out and your head slightly up.
Don't ever look down, you'll fall over.
I would first start with the bar and move up in weight once you have achieved good form and it feels comfortable.
