Really? The carpets available these days come in every color of the rainbow, in almost any pattern you can dream up and is great way to liven up and compliment even the most ultramodern of decors.
Carpet Myth 4 - Carpet emits harmful chemicals
Not the case at all and that again is according to the good folks at the EPA. They have found carpets to be one the lowest emitters of volatile organic compounds from amongst all common home furnishings and building products.
What flooring you choose from your home should be dictated by personal preference and available budget, not by a few misguided people who have not taken the time to learn the real facts about modern carpet. Carpet is still a great choice for almost any room in the average house (maybe not the bathroom, a little too seventies) as a visit to your local flooring store will quickly demonstrate.
