The two bedding used are Individual bedding and screed bedding. Both require care to be laid. Let us just glance through what each of these bedding exactly are. Individual bedding is laying down the bedding separately for each piece of stone before setting the stone. This means you would have to keep on checking the levels each time you lay down a stone. The bedding would be individually made fit by hollowing or leveling whatever is required.

In screed bedding you do not set individual bedding. Instead you lay down one bed of cement. Level the entire surface by screeding. After that you can simply set the stones. Since you have already prepared the bed it is easier to set the stones in a jigsaw puzzle manner. However after the entire task you will have to ensure that the ground is level. If not you would have to do it either by simple trampling or by using any machine.

The crazed appearance of a pavement set through this method perks up the look of the whole area. In fact many people are now using this style in their garden walkways. Crazy paving although originated amongst the cottage country dwellers in England, it is a design that has been accepted all across the world.
