While at the museum you can check out all the historical artifacts from lighthouses of Australia. They also have a great collection of model ships that give you an idea of the history of shipbuilding in all of its different stages. You can go through the 15,000 photographs and even have some scanned at a low cost if you want some to take some images home with you. This place is a good spot to meet the people that worked in these sorts of professions too because many of the volunteers here are retired ship masters, marine engineers, and ex-naval personnel.
