The Usage Of Stickers In Disasters

In our world disaster are inevitable to stop

In our world disaster are inevitable to stop. Disasters have always been a part of our lives hence instead of trying to stop these natural forces we should try to adapt to them. Adapting to the situation is the best way to counteract the disaster. A lot of causalities come about at the time of a storm or a flood. Hence, teams of doctors are sent to the area to overcome the problems in place. The number of doctors sent is according to the mass of the disaster. The affected areas are regarded as high alert areas where it is the duty of the doctors to give time to the affected people. The system of how health services work changes significantly in this situation. The usefulness of stickers in this scenario is immense and they play an important role in the haphazard situation.

System of Triage Explained:

The system of triage is used in these kinds of emergencies. The principle of first come first served does not apply in mass emergencies. According to triage the injured are classified according to the injuries sustained and the probability of their survival. The system becomes the opposite of what it is in normal situations. In ordinary events the patient who is in a critical situation is given priority however in mass emergencies this is not the case. Here patients who are less critical and can be cured promptly are given high priority than those who are in critical situations and have the survival chances of less percentage. Patients who are in critical situations are called moribund patients.

What do the Labels Indicate?

In order to recognize the patients it is essential to use labels which indicate if they should be given high priority treatment or low priority treatment. Most countries use custom stickers as the labels because of their easy use. These stickers are used as classification codes and the most common are red, yellow, green and black. Each color represents different meaning. Red is for patients who should be given high priority treatment. Yellow indicates that the patients with these labels are to be given priority after the category that falls under red. Green is for ambulatory patients and lastly black color represents those patients who are dead or have very little chances of survival even after treatment.

These kinds of sticker are easily available in the vinyl stickers shops and can be made on order if an emergency strikes and one needs them in large quantity. Triage is the only way through which maximum benefit could be achieved by treating the injured in a sensible way.

Tags used on Patients:

Another way in which these cheap stickers are used in heavy situations is that patients have to be tagged with their names, age and place of origin. These tags are also stickers and are easily printing if the team has the right amount of equipment. These little stickers play an extensive role when disasters strike and help to save lives -which are endangered.
