If you are a company that has security guards working at your premises it's important to make sure they are doing patrols while working. This is important for several reasons.

First of all, guards who are seated or standing during an entire shift get very tired and sleepy guards and security simply does not mix. To get the blood circulating and for a more energized guard staff, rounds are important.

Patrolling also makes clients, staff, and visitors feel secure. This is a proven fact. So, in a very real way, patrols help boost morale leaving people feel safe.

Like with any guard activity, the client should have a say or, at the very least, be in the know about when patrolling is being done.

Lastly, it's important to wear the right kind of foot wear when conducting rounds. if you are a guard who is always on the go, it makes sense to wear something comfortable. This, of course, needs to be approved by your superior officers and the client.
