A few days back I had an extraordinary experience in terms of a motion picture. To say that the creator and the creation of that motion picture have challenged my preconceptions of movies would be an understatement-They have amazed me to the core. I have come to a realization that a great filmmakers can make anything great and anything possible. As I was sitting in front of the T.V I came to a channel where they were showing the movie ratatouille so I sat and start watching the movie. I was amazed by the storyline they have created as they taught us how a mouse Remy which is a very small creature and is probably hated and ridiculed by almost every person creates wonders for the people living in France when he starts making food through a very strange source. Remy is a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris, only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with a restaurant's new garbage boy, the culinary and personal adventures begin despite Remy's family's skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans. It tells us how he controls Linguini a garbage boy who does not know how to cook at all but on the other hand when Remy starts controlling Linguini by his hair Linguini starts making great food and the restaurants starts filling with a lot of customers. The story takes turn when the Paris biggest food critic Anton Ego comes to eat his food. Remy with the help of linguini makes ratatouille for him. Ego takes a bite of the ratatouille, and immediately has a flashback to his childhood where his mother prepared the same dish to brighten his spirits after a bicycle accident. He is overwhelmed with emotion for the dish. Ego's heart is warmed by the fantastic meal, and insists on thanking the chef. Colette another chief tells him that he must wait until all other customers have left if he wants to meet the chief. That evening, Ego learns the whole truth from Linguini, Colette and Remy. After leaving the restaurant, Ego writes a fantastic review for Gusteaus'- proclaiming the chef to be "the finest in Paris" while neglecting to reveal the chefs' true identity. In the movie I also loved the character of Anton Ego who is a dour, humorless food critic, whose reviews can make or break a restaurant. He presents a shining review of the restaurant, and in particular, the chef (whom he does not name). This movie is indeed a visual imagination for eyes as it takes our imagination to a whole new level with an amazing story, incredible characters and outstanding animation. Ratatouilleis named after a French vegetable stew, and a more appropriate name couldnt be found. Following the films idea of experimenting with flavors and tastes, the movie is a simple, enjoyable dish which brings back to the screen the story ideas that spelled success for Disneys other animated films.About the Author:
