Many reasons are there which turn kids violent and the foremost is watching television and movie. They really get involved in it and imagine themselves as real hero and start to fight with anything they get. Usually this happens with every child, but when this goes beyond a limit or uncontrollable state then it is an alarm for parents. A child violent behavior is also determined by social, biological and psychological factors. Parents should take up the situation seriously and find out what is actually happening to their child

Start to look into the problem realistically

Many parents to do not accept their child problem, they do no like others complaining about their child. When the teacher provides a negative feedback about your child, do not ignore it. Take it in a positive way and approach it realistically. Especially if you receive repeated feedback, then you have to really work on the problem.

Investigate the problem

Ask teacher what exactly he is doing in the class, whether he disobeys or hurts anyone in the class. When others provide negative feedback, try to get more details from them like why he/she was angry and behaved violently. This information will be helpful for you to assess his/her behavior pattern.

Write down the behavior pattern

If he/she behaves violently in school, get feedback about his/her actions in classroom from all the teachers and write it down. Else if you find the problem at home, monitor all his/her actions keenly, this will help you to identify the cause.

Support and care

Some children due to lack of proper support may turn violent whereas other due to under control will become aggressive. Right amount of care and support is essential, spend time to know about them. Speak to them regularly and understand their issues. Take them out and do things which they like very much. Once they believe in you they will easily speak up about their issues.

Be calm

Every parent becomes extremely angry when their child behaves aggressively. They may shout or hit him to control him, but this will make the situation worse. Remember parents are role model for children, so be cool and patiently handle the situation. If you are extremely angry about his act, just leave the place and come back after sometime. Then you can try to explain his mistake in a polite manner. It is difficult to do this, but it will work.

Contact psychologist

If nothing works and the child is totally out of control, do not hesitate to seek the help of psychiatrist. You can browse online or ask your school to suggest a good psychiatrist. While meeting the psychiatrist, provide all the information you have recorded about him so far.
