It is generally said that computers and the Internet have bad influence on children and teenagers

. The discussion on this matter can be never ending; people have countless statements that sometimes just cant be ignored. But what about the youngest ones like infants and toddlers? Can computers and the Web be anything good for them and their physical and mental development? I know it may sound absurd but modern technology can be very useful during the first months and years of a childs life.

I would like to forget the young ones for a moment and talk about their mothers and fathers. The Internet is an endless source of information for them. They can find many useful tips about taking care of babies, they can discover new products that are the best for them and find new ideas about playing and teaching their little ones. There are different materials that can help the parents to raise their child. There are sites with fairy tales, poems and songs for babies. The parents can find inspiration there. They can compare their experiences online with other mothers and fathers. It is also a very good way to spend their free time, for example when the child is sleeping and a good chance to find a new hobby like blogging.

Many young mothers write blogs where they can share their every day worries, bad and good moments, show the photos of their babies and meet other moms. They can read comments and others opinions that help them evolve constantly. It is natural that many mothers want to show off with their babies, they want to show to the world how fast they grow and how smart they become every day. An own blog is a perfect place for that and a great way to document a babys progress.

It is not only the parents that can find something for them on the Internet. There are countless websites dedicated only for the youngest ones. They are prepared especially to meet the toddlers special needs. If you visit these sites you can see they look very friendly and they are very easy to use. You can practically leave your baby in front of the computer and be sure it is safe. As a matter of fact a site like this is a great challenge for a web designer. One has to find out something about the young ones needs and their weak points so the website is not too aggressive for the young eyes and ears. The websites have many features that help the babies develop. There are different tasks the toddler needs to complete to deserve some kind of reward. There is matching pairs, coloring and drawing. Spending an hour or two like this, even everyday will help the baby in many ways. It can be even helpful in the process of learning to talk.

It is very important that our babies and children develop in a proper way. I am not saying they cant do it without the modern technology. But the technology is moving forward and we should allow it help us also in this matter. We have to stay cautious, of course but we have to realize how much good it can bring for us and also for our little ones.
