The Whitstable Property Boom

Any serious property investor will be fully aware that house prices in the South East are back on the rise. There are some locations in the county of Kent that have, in the whole, been largely immune from the recession, Whistable being one of them.Whitstable is an amazing place. It is extremely attractive to London and South East property investors, simply because house prices are guaranteed to rise over the forthcoming years. Why? For the simple reason that people will always want to live there. Apart from the fact that this small town is located right on the North Kent Coast, it is also home to some amazing restaurants, bars and boutiques. It is also home to many famous celebrities, such as Harry Hill and Janet Street-Porter to name just a couple. Suggs from Madness owns a beach hut just outside of Whitstable in Tankerton. Guy Chambers of Robbie Williams fame recently sold his house near the sea front. It is, celebrities aside, a truly amazing place to live. So, now on to Whitstable property prices and the best locations to invest. Whilst anywhere near to the town centre is a great place to live, there are a small number of roads which you should try and purchase a property in. The foremost is Island Wall. This road runs directly parallel to the sea front and hosts a large number of distinctive properties. Prices vary from approximately 280,000 for a small 2/3 bedroom terraced house, to 1,000,000 for the more palacial residencies. In addition to Island Wall it is recommended that you look at investing along the Sea Wall. Once again, as the title suggests, this road runs directly along the seafront. Prices here are slightly more expensive and there are probably only a dozen houses along this road, so finding a suitable one can be tricky. When buying your property in Whitstable you are virtually guaranteed to see a good return on your investment. The harbour is currently in the throws of being redeveloped, which can only mean one thing, a rise in property prices over the forthcoming years. Don't be put off by the recession of 2008-10. Whitstable is guaranteed to bring you a good return, especially if you are prepared to wait for a few years. If you have any doubts, simply spend a weekend there, either in the summer or winter and you will soon realise that this amazng seaside town is like a magnet to many!
