The Wonders Of Black Scrub Jackets
No one can really deny that medical scrubs are an amazing kind of apparel
. Why amazing? You may ask. Well, very simple really. They are multipurpose, they are comfortable, and they are useful. They are a versatile part of anyone's wardrobe, whether you are from the medical or healthcare fraternity or not.
Comfortable and loose fitting garments that give you total ease of movement while not hampering your affectivity in any way whatsoever! Yes that's exactly what a set of scrubs does. However, useful as they may be, the standard pair of a scrub top and a pair of scrub pants may sometimes lack a little something. Take for example colder days. On some days, the weather may just be cooler than your scrubs can deal with. Or, as is also possible, the weather may be just as it was yesterday, but you may be batting below your form, and not quite feeling as full of pep as you normally are.
In cases like that, a scrub jacket is just the thing to have on hand. What is a scrub jacket, then? Well, simple enough isn't it? It's a jacket that goes over your scrubs. It's a basic warm up garment, made from a number of possible materials, and available in a number of styles, whose function is to keep you warm in your scrubs without hurting your efficiency in any way. A black scrub jacket, obviously, is a scrub jacket that's black in color. However, there are a lot of other things a black scrub jacket may be, other than just black. The other things, of course, will depend on the choices that you make regarding options like material, cut, style, pints, embroidery, etc.
For example, should your black scrub jacket be a high collar (or mandarin collar as it is sometimes called), a normal flat collar, or scoop neck? Should it be round neck or V? do you want to get it in a print? If so, what kind of print would you like. The options are many of course, ranging from florals and nature prints to cartoon characters and animals. All kinds of print may not look great in black, so make sure you actually see a sample or a picture of how your black scrub jacket looks in a particular print before you order it. As a general rule, self prints are the best on solid colors, especially dark ones, but there are always exceptions, as you well know, to any general rule. So find the print that pleases you most.
Another major decision while buying your black scrub jacket is likely to be the choice of material. After all, this garment has a purpose.... To keep you warm. For this function, certain kinds of materials and fabrics are, of course, better than others. Man-made fibers, and poly-cotton blends, for example are much warmer than pure 100 percent cotton is. Similarly, materials like fleece, both natural and synthetic, and soft wool, are great for keeping warm. So, think about what kind of material would be best for your black scrub jacket, depending on how cold you expect it to get, where you want to wear it, and so on. Once your decisions are made, a black scrub jacket can become a welcome and useful part of your wardrobe.
