This growth has a unidirectional flow and now the technology must be constantly developed and upgraded in order for mankind to thrive.
Considering this situation, we understand the significance of IT companies worldwide and the role they have played so far in shaping our present. We are thoroughly aware of the contribution they have made and with how they will continue to do so in future. However, where these corporate giants are more focused on constantly developing and innovating new fundamentals of technology to reach higher levels, there are millions of mid to small size IT companies which fulfill the role of bringing this technology within the grasp of a common users. Combined together it is like a single tree, where the big brands are the roots and the trunk, innovating and developing a new concept, and various smaller IT companies are like branches working as binary units on these concepts and producing wide range of solutions used by users at different levels.

However in the 21st century, the internet boom has not just brought IT within the reach of smaller businesses like Hotels and Restaurants, Entertainment, Leisure, Education etc, it has empowered the end-user directly. Today, businesses are reshaping and reforming their strategies based on end-user needs and experience of IT.
Over the past decade any business organization, whether performing at a global level or a domestic level, has understood the significance of having a business website. Some of these have even identified the great potentials of e-business and have started adopting web applications for various purposes. Of course the inspiration behind such a rapid advancement and adoption are names like Amazon, Google, e-bay, Facebook, PayPal etc. However, these brands cannot practically help billions of businesses around the globe with their custom IT requirements. Those who in reality is fulfilling this role are the Independent Software Vendors scattered across the world in great numbers. We must realize that millions of such small outfits living away from the spotlight yet playing significant role in contributing towards the IT demand of billions of business organizations around the world. Now imagine what would be the world without these IT companies? Perhaps it would be as similar as our planet without the existence of fuel. The reality is that the world would come to halt.
Therefore, we must not focus on increasing quantity of IT companies in the world. Instead the emphasis should be on the quality and standards of services these companies offer to the world. Companies following the best practices will inevitably flourish and gradually grow a stronger network of business partnership at a global stage.
