No matter what the consequences are, first dates are pretty much always awkward
. Basically, you spend the whole evening talking about hometowns, parents, colleges, occupations, and automotive parts. Some places, are totally wrong for this awkward but appropriate inquisition to take place. Heres a tip for Valentines Day, avoid these seven places when youre taking someone out for a first date. (This list is according to Guysim.com)1. Mexican restaurants- Even if its a preference, this is not recommended for any first dates. None of the menu items decrease the chances of horrible indigestion and several embarrassing trips to the bathroom. Nothings worse than disgusting your date on the first try, especially on the most romantic night of the year.
2. An outdoor event- Unless youre in a climate of complete perfection, first dates outdoors could end up in doom. If its too humid, youll spend the whole time sweating and trying to hide your pit stains. If its rainy or cold, you and your date will shiver uncomfortably, and each one of you will be too timid to cuddle up for warmth. Plus, women hate it when their hair gets ruined, wet weather or humid weather bring about the worst.
3. A Romantic movie- First of all, the men in all of these movies are genuinely good looking and full of romantic gestures. If you are not up to par, this is not a great comparison to bring light to on the first date. Unless you are planning on putting rose pedals all over her bed, your better bet is to go to a horror movie. But in all reality, first dates are about flirting and getting to know one another, a movie may be a little too impersonal.
4. Your place- Think about it, do you really want her first impression of you to be unfavorable? You never know, you could look cheap, uncreative, messy, superficial, crazed, the list goes on and on. The moment will come when you both feel comfortable to reveal your more personal layers. Plus, if you suggest your place you may look easy and desperate. Head out for Valentines Day.
5. Your parent's house- Okay, the food may be free, and the house may be huge with a hot tub, but really, do you want him to see your childhood bedroom? Besides, meeting the parents on the first night is a bit much. It is especially repulsive on a day like Valentines Day.
