The fungus that causes diaper rash is the cutaneous candidiasis. This causes skin infections as, like the others, it grows in a warm and moist place. Other than babies those who are diabetics or obese will be more at risk in contracting this condition. Candida can also attack the nails and corners of your mouth. If you can prevent the fungus growing in the vulnerable areas then you can prevent the infection.
